[New Security Policy - NO to ABUSE of Freedom of Speech]
As from this week, which is the hottest week for all local Eurovision fans and Maltasong participants, Malta.ogae.net decided to opt for a new security policy over the comments section in our News related pages. NO TO ABUSE OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH. All comments are being checked thoroughly before they appear on the site.
Freedom of speech is a right which is promoted by everyone working on this site. This doesn't entail tasteless and personal attacks, offensive destructive criticism and insults from cowards who hide behind anonymous or fictitious names.
We are well aware that Freedom of speech was highly ABUSED of in the past days, weeks and months by 'anonymous' cowards who left their offensive destructive comments and personal attacks and insults on our pages. We strongly believe that this new security policy will be a strong deterrent against such abusers of freedom of speech andcowards of whom we have their traced I.P.s. Public offense is a criminal act and legal action can be taken against individuals who are easily traced through the I.P. address.
All comments will appear as soon as any member from the team of webmasters approves them. Edited comments will be accompanied by the following notice:... [edited by web-moderator - post included personal attacks and insults - keep your posts balanced and positive. criticism should be constructive and not destructive. that way everyone will enjoy the freedom of speech and the freedom to view his/her opinion. otherwise destructive criticism and tasteless personal attacks will be deleted or edited]
Comments in favour of any of the participant songs or participants will still appear as long as they do not include any offensive comments against any of the other participants.
So please, keep your postings fair, constructive and without any attacks, offense or abuse of the freedom of speech.
Thanks and good luck to all participants of the Go Mobile Malta Song for Europe 2006.
