During a meeting held last night between the two teams, Ogae Malta and Escmalta have reached an agreement of co-operation and collaboration for the benefit of all local Eurovision fans.  From this week onwards the two sites will be partners of each other and will cover each others' events. 

Moreover, Ogae Malta would like to announce the new policy regarding the REACTIONS and COMMENTS service provided at the bottom of each and every news article which appears on our website, Malta.ogae.net. 

MAIN RULE:  From this week onwards postings from Anonymous, Fictitious names or nicknames meant to harm, disrespect, attack or insult any other person/entity directly or indirectly will be deleted. 

We invite you to use our service in a correct way.  We do treasure the freedom of speech but one should also abide by the above mentioned rule set by our team for the best of everyone involved.  Our duty is to provide a good service for all and not a platform for insults or personal attacks, hiding behind anonymous names.  

Whoever wishes to use our REACTIONS and COMMENTS service to criticise constructively any other person/entity is free to do so by showing his/her true identity (real name and email). Failing to do so will result in a sudden deletion.  In extreme cases this might be followed by a partial or total ban from our website.

I must say that I agree with the decision taken to delete comments intended to insult or harm anyone. I fully agree with this. Constructive crticism should be encouraged but hurtful comments, should certainly not be allowed. We should all treat each other the way we would like to be treated ourselves!
However what I do not understand is why comments that I made recently praising one of our most exceptional artists Lawrence Gray were deleted!!!????? I think comments which encourage artists should be encouraged and not deleted!!! We in Malta must learn to appreciate real talent and to do our best to encourage these artists. In my computer I had saved one of the comments I made and I am reproducing it below. As you will all see when you read it, I only praised Lawrence Gray. If it is again deleted, I suggest that I should be given an explanation!!! This was my comment:-

"I agree with you James!! We certainly need LAWRENCE GRAY! When I heard Brian Kennedy sing "You Raise me Up", he also reminded me of Lawrence Gray. Brian is very talented and has a beautiful voice, but Lawrence Gray is just as talented!!!! Lawrence has one of the most beautiful voices I ever heard. He certainly deserves to be called "The man with the Golden Voice". I have heard Lawrence sing live many times, and he always leaves the audience breathless. One of the greatest pleasures in my life is hearing him sing! Many times I have seen him recieve a well deserved standing ovation. He makes me feel proud to be Maltese!!
When he sang in "Beyond The Barricade" (which was shown again on tv last week), he received a tremendous applause!!!! I was afraid that he would literally bring the house down! (Thank God that did not happen because he was singing at the Manoel theatre!!). He sang "Gethsemane" from "Jesus Christ Superstar"...a very difficult song. But he gave an impeccable interpretation of it!!. The four artists in "Beyond The Barricade" are artists who had previously sung at the West End. They

Lawrence Gray deserved to win the Song for Europe twice:- in 1999 with "The Right Time" and in 2003 with "Why Not". Both times he came second and both times he deserved to win!! Had he won, I am sure that he would have made Malta proud!! I am so sure of that!! I believe so very much in Lawrence Gray!!

can someone tell me on wot grounds olivia is heading the polls???/

Olivia Lewis is leading the polls cuz some ppl think that she will win the contest .. for the 100th time I say there is nothing wrong with that! If the question was .. whom will you vote on the 4th February? then there is a Problem ! or if the Poll question was .. Which is the best song? then there is a problem that the song that was not even heard is the best one! but the question both on the poll of escmalta and on the poll malta.ogae.net cleary asks: WHOM DO YOU THINK IS GOING TO WIN THE CONTEST? there is nothing wrong with choosing Olivia Lewis or Grimas ! I think that Brazil will win the next world cup without knowing who are the players that are going to be chosen by Brazil or by any other team ! I really think that some ppl who over here say that they are going to vote for olivia lewis - no matter how her song sounds like .. are doing so only to loose olivia votes ..
